'India's Trump card': Agarkar has high expectations from Indian southpaw in ODI World Cup

India announced their 15 member squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Australia. KL Rahul will lead the 'Men in Blue' in the first two ODIs while Ravindra Jadeja will be his deputy. Ravichandran Ashwin has been recalled in the ODI squad for this series.

Ajit Agarkar revealed Team India's trump card in the World Cup

Following their triumph in the Asia Cup final Indian team are riding very high. But they will have very little time to rest as they will be pitted against the mighty Aussies. A few choppings and cuttings have been made as the likes of Ruturaj Gaikwad and Washington Sundar also have been given a chance to prove their worth.

Kuldeep Yadav has been rested for the first two ODIs but chief selector Ajit Agarkar heaped praises on the player claiming the player is India's trump card in the World Cup.

"He is a guy with special skill sets. Every player needs backing and the team management has done exactly that with Kuldeep. He is one of India's Trump cards. Where he is at, all of us are very excited about what lies ahead."

Iyer who missed out on most of the Asia Cup actions will play all the three ODIs as Ajit Agarkar confirmed his fitness. "Shreyas Iyer didn't pick a stress fracture or else he won't be a part of this squad. He's fit and we're hopeful he will play all games in this series."
