Former Pakistan coach Inzamam-ul-Haq slammed PCB's medical staff for t attending to calls of players who have tested positive for coronavirus. former Pakistan skipper alleged 'bad attitude' from Board's support staff towards players who were 'seeking advice' after being tested positive for COVID. Ten Pakistan players, including Muhammed Hafeez, Wahab Riaz, and Fakhar Zaman, and one support staff have tested positive for coronavirus ahead of team's departure to England.

'Really bad attitude'

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Inzamam said that he was informed by his sources that PCB's medical staff had igred calls of coronavirus positive players who were attempting to seek advice from m and called it a bad attitude. Furr, former skipper said that players whose results returned positive should have been taken care of by PCB instead of sending m home and said that y must have 'felt bad' for t receiving Board's support in se 'difficult times'. Inzamam urged PCB to properly look after ir players, citing Muhammed Hafeez's case as an example of what could possibly happen if Board neglected players. ex-skipper also suggested that players who have tested positive should be kept at NCA instead of sending m back home as re was eugh and said that it was duty of PCB to look after ir players.

Pakistan team to reach England on June 28

Despite Pakistan's 10 players testing COVID-19 positive, ir tour of England is set to go ahead as England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has confirmed that Men in Green will arrive in United Kingdom on June 28. Pakistan team will begin ir 14-day isolation period at Blackfinch New Road, Worcester soon after ir arrival. With second round of COVID-19 test results of Pakistan team set to be anunced on Saturday, team will undergo ar round of testing after landing in UK. Meanwhile, entire 30-man English squad has tested COVID-19 negative and have begun preparations.

After completing ir 14-day isolation period, Men in Green will move on to Derbyshire’s Incora County Ground on Monday 13 July to accelerate ir preparation ahead of first Test, which will include two four-day internal warm-up matches. Only those players who test negative after arriving in England on Sunday will be allowed to proceed ahead with squad. behind-closed-doors schedule for se fixtures will be anunced in due course.
