IPL 2020 final could be shifted to November 10 for broadcaster's 'Diwali weekend' request
The IPL 2020 final, which was initially set to be played on November 8, has now been postponed to November 10 owing to the long Diwali weekend this year.

IPL 2020, which was originally slated to commence on March 29, was postponed due to coronavirus pandemic. Since n, BCCI has been in a fix about commencement of cash-rich league. However, after a lot of speculation, IPL 2020 looks set to be played in UAE this year. According to reports, IPL 2020 was going to be played between September 19 and vember 8.

However, according to a report from Times of India, IPL 2020 final which was set to be played on vember 8 has w been postponed to vember 10. reason for postponement is to allow stakeholders, especially Star Sports, to make furr use of Diwali weekend. If it happens n this would be first time that an IPL final will be played on a weekday.

Ar reason why date of IPL 2020 final is being pushed back is to get Indian cricket team to leave for ir tour of Australia directly from UAE instead of allowing players to return home. In fact, sources close to developments have also reckoned that players will remain in UAE even if ir team gets kcked out from IPL 2020 early and wait for it to end.
