With IPL auction for 2020 season being just around corner, MI have yet again opted to make some changes in squad which can help m free up some funds to buy more players. According to a report in a leading Indian media portal, few surprising names have emerged who are likely to face axe such as West Indies opener Evin Lewis and New Zealand bowler fast bowler Mitchell McClenaghan.

Evin Lewis has been part of MI camp since 2018. destructive opener was seen as a perfect player at top of order to give a strong start to side, but unfortunately, he failed to deliver consistently. With arrival of Quinton de Kock in side, Lewis has been kept on bench with limited opportunities.
Mitchell McClenaghan, too had a disappointing season last year, picking up 3 wickets from 5 matches he played and is most likely to be released by franchise.
