IPL 2020: Rajasthan Royals pacer Oshane Thomas hospitalized on birthday post car accident

The Rajasthan Royals have another cause of worry before IPL 2020 as pacer Oshane Thomas was involved in a car accident that may rule him out of the tournament.

West Indies and Rajasthan Royals pacer Oshane Thomas was recently injured in a highway accident which led to his Audi being flipped upside down. Thomas is scheduled to be a part of Rajasthan Royals camp in 2020 after team showed faith in young West Indian pacer during 2019 season. If Royals lose Thomas, this will be ir second overseas pace bowling loss as team will probably also be missing out on English pacer Jofra Archer.

Rajasthan Royals team 2020 member Oshane Thomas goes through ugly car accident

As reported by Jamaica Observer, Thomas was involved in a highway wreck that led to his Audi being overturned in middle of road. Less terrifying details were reported too as it was said that pacer was awake and responsive while he was being transported to hospital. In a press release, West Indies Players' Association released a statement where y conveyed ir best wishes to injured player.

Rajasthan Royals running out of pace options?

Jofra Archer will be undergoing a surgery and ECB has already made a provisional anuncement which rules star pacer out of IPL 2020. Rajasthan Royals will w be hoping that Oshane Thomas recovers well and quickly. Thomas was in team to serve as a good backup option to Archer and if West Indian misses out on IPL, Royals may face a major setback in ir pace bowling department. In case se two players miss out, Royals will majorly be depending on Andrew Tye and Tom Curran to head unit's bowling attack.

Rajasthan Royals have a revamped lineup that y will be fielding in IPL 2020. While Steve Smith becomes skipper of side, Ajinkya Rahane has been traded away to Capitals. Jos Buttler, Ben Stokes, and Jofra Archer will form core of team which will also include likes of Robin Uthappa and David Miller in  2020 season.
