IPL 2023: Chris Gayle names Indian batter as one player who can break his 175* record

IPL 2023: Chris Gayle aka Universe Boss is considered one of stalwarts of T20 cricket and has shattered bowlers every time he is seen playing in shorter format. Chris Gayle is often seen playing in leagues all over world and has also proven his mark re as well. left-handed West Indies legend also holds record of having highest score in history of Indian Premier League, which is considered to as one of toughest T20 league in whole world. 

Chris Gayle while playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2013 season of Indian Premier League smashed 175* runs against Pune Warriors India at M Chinnaswamy Stadium of Bengaluru. RCB also registered highest total in history of tournament as y scored 263/5 in ir quota of 20 overs. 

KL Rahul can break my record: Chris Gayle

Chris Gayle was asked on Jio Cinema, "Who can break record of 175* in IPL?", Gayle came up with KL Rahul's name. Rahul has been amongst list of top scorers in Indian Premier League for a very long time and had won orange cap in year 2021. 

KL Rahul missed Orange Cap in 2022 by rarest of margins to Rajasthan Royals's Jos Buttler. LSG (Luckw Super Giants) skipper also holds record of having highest score by an Indian in Indian Premier League. Rahul had scored an unbeaten 132 against RCB playing for Punjab Kings in 2020. 

With 16th edition of Indian Premier League a few days away, all eyes will be on KL Rahul again. Indian wicketkeeper-batsman will be captaining Luckw Super Giants who qualified for playoffs in ir maiden season. first match of league will be played on March 31, 2023, between four-time champions Chennai Super Kings and reigning champions Gujarat Titans at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
