IPL 2023: Complete list of retained players by all 10 franchises ahead of auction

A total of 163 players were retained by the franchises whereas 85 players were released from their existing squads ahead of the IPL 2023 auction.

The build-up to the Indian Premier League 2023 (IPL 2023) has already begun with all franchises revamping their squad during the trade window. Ahead of the IPL Auction, the teams were asked to submit the list of retained and released players. A total of 163 players were retained by the franchises whereas 85 players were released from their existing squads. Before the announcement of the retained list, Kieron Pollard announced his retirement from IPL, while there were major surprises when the retention list was announced.

Ahead of the IPL 2023 auction, New Zealand skipper, Kane Williamson was released by Sunrisers Hyderabad, while Mayank Agarwal and Dwayne Bravo were released by Punjab Kings and Chennai Super Kings. Below is the full list of players that have been retained by respective franchises ahead of IPL 2023 Auction.
