Robin Uthappa will be finding himself in auction pool this season after being released by Kolkata Knight Riders ahead of 19th December IPL Auction in Kolkata. Uthappa was bought by Knight Riders in 2014 and won Orange cap that season, as he helped his side to win title. In 2018 Auction, franchise had bought him back through right-to-match card for a handsome price of 6.4 crores. However, right-hander was t at his best in IPL 2019, as he mand to score just one half-century for his 282 runs in 11 innings at an aver of 31.33.

Virat Kohli-led side has always looked strong on paper, but ir performances on field have been really poor. Apart from skipper and AB de Villiers, or players have contributed when team needed most especially during middle overs.
