With the 2020 Indian Premier League Auction slated for December 19, managements of the franchises will be working hard to get their combinations right and target the right players at the auction. Four-time champions Mumbai Indians will be no different as even though the team delivered strong performances in 2019, some key figures like Yuvraj Singh will no longer be part of the camp. With MI aiming for a new starting XI, here are three overseas players who could be released by the Mumbai Indians camp ahead of the auction.

Ben Cutting
The Australian all-rounder was instrumental in Sunrisers Hyderabad winning their maiden IPL final in 2016. He became a part of the Mumbai Indians team in 2018 but has failed to contribute much to the team. In his 14 matches for Mumbai in two seasons, Cutting has only scored 114 runs. On the bowling side of affairs, Cutting has only managed three wickets for MI. He played just three matches in the 2019 season and may very well be replaced by another all-rounder.

Beuran Hendricks
The South African left-arm medium-pacer was a part of the Mumbai squad in 2019 but did not get to play a single match. Mumbai's stable playing XI and tight competition for the overseas slots may be the reason that Hendricks was not able to break into the playing XI. MI may let Hendricks go so that he can be of better use to some other side as the player has only served as a reserve player in the MI camp. Hendricks was a part of the Kings XI Punjab side in 2014 and 2015, taking nine wickets in seven matches.

Evin Lewis
The explosive Windies opener had his opening slot taken away by Quinton de Kock in the 2019 season. With de Kock scoring more than 500 runs in the 2019 season and being a solid wicket-keeper too, Lewis will probably not get a chance to step back into the playing XI. Lewis only scored 48 runs in the three matches he played in 2019. He only hit two sixes in 2019 in contrast to the 24 sixes he hit in 2018.
