Earlier, Aakash Ambani, the owner of Mumbai Indians said in a media release that Mumbai Indians had always taken pride in having a good pace attack as year-after-year, their bowlers had won them games as he gave the example of last year’s final. He added that they were delighted to have Trent Boult as part of the MI family and went on to say that he was sure that his experience across formats, especially in limited-overs cricket, would add value to their campaign.
With Boult in their arsenal, the defending champions will pose a great threat once again for other teams in the upcoming season of IPL.
Mumbai Indians also drafted in the all-rounder Dhawal Kulkarni for the upcoming season, who has played for Mumbai in domestic cricket throughout his life.
