'Surprised They Didn't Retain Him': Kumble Left Reeling After RCB’s Shocking Omission Of IND Upstart

Anil Kumble Shocked With RCB's Decision To Not Pick Star Upstart During IPL 2025 Retention
During an appearance on JioCinema's Insiders' Preview before South Africa vs India T20I Series, Anil Kumble offered his verbal support for young India stars who are a part of Men in Blue squ for away tour. He highlighted Karnataka star Vyshak Vijaykumar, who came to prominence while competing for RCB during IPL 2024 season. However, former India skipper was perplexed by RCB's decision to let him go before IPL Mega Auction.
"Vyshak is very talented. Anor domestic player who has me a substantial impact for Karnataka. It was unfortunate he didn't receive enough chances at RCB; I was quite surprised y didn't retain him. But I hope he gets an opportunity in South Africa. He has all variations needed for death-over bowling," Anil Kumble stated.
