RCB made some interesting buys at the IPL auction

The IPL giants seem to have their batting unit in place and also went behind Pat Cummins pretty aggressively at the auction. But at the end the Australian captain went to Sunrisers Hyderabad for a whopping 20.50 crore. Alongside Joseph and Dayal, RCB also roped in Tom Curran and Lockie Ferguson in order to plug their loopholes in bowling. RCB also made some managerial changes as they brought in former Lucknow Super Giants head coach Andy Flower alongside Mo Bobat who took charge as the head of RCB's cricket operations.

RCB head coach revealed their IPL auction plans

RCB sprung some surprises as they secured the services of Joseph and Dayal and now Flower decoded their plan as they secured the services of the pace duo. On JioCinema he said, "As far as Yash Dayal is concerned, we saw some of his potential last year, certainly with the new ball for swing and wicket-taking potential. I know he had a hard time at the death occasionally, but we believe he has got high potential and we are looking for great things from him.

โ€œWe had a go at Pat Cummins but were outbid in the end. We went for Alzarri and are really happy to have him. He is a quality operator. Faf (du Plessis) and I have worked with him before at Saint Lucia Kings and I think Faf's worked with him in the SA20 as well."
