BCCI announce cash rewards for IPL's groundsmen & curators, Jay Shah hails them as 'Unsung heroes'

The BCCI and Jay Shah has officially announced that all the venues' groundsmen and pitch curators will receive a token of appreciation and announced cash prize.

recently concluded IPL 2024 season saw Kolkata Knight Riders emerging as last man standing as y defeated Sunrisers Hyderab in a low-scoring affair at MA Chidambaram Stium in Chennai. matches played throughout season were hosted at some of country's premier International-level cricket stiums.  IPL 2024 season was played through ten stiums and three ditional venues throughout country, and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced a humongous gesture of appreciation for unsung heroes of Indian Premier League.

BCCI, Jay Shah applaud ground staff at IPL venues, announces prize money as a gesture of appreciation

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) honorary secretary, Jay Shah, has announced that  groundsmen and pitch curators of all venues featured throughout IPL 2024 season will receive prize money as a gesture of appreciation for quality of pitches provided during coveted tournament. He thanked all members involved and me sure matches went smoothly. He also appreciated m for working in verse wear conditions.

" unsung heroes of our successful T20 season are incredible ground staff who worked tirelessly to provide brilliant pitches, even in difficult wear conditions.

"As a token of our appreciation, groundsmen and curators at  10 regular IPL venues will receive INR 25 lakhs each, and same at  3 ditional venues will get INR 10 lakhs each. Thank you for your dedication and hard work!" BCCI honorary secretary Jay Shah revealed on X (Formerly Twitter).

IPL has 10 regular venues; Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Hyderab, Bengaluru, Lucknow, Ahmedab, and Jaipur, who will receive ₹25 lakh each as a gift of appreciation for providing excellent pitches throughout league.

This year's ditional venues included Guwahati, Visakhapatnam, and Dharamsala. While Guwahati was Rajasthan Royals' supplementary venue, Visakhapatnam hosted Delhi Capitals' first leg of home fixtures. Dharamshala served as Kings XI Punjab's second base. ditional venues would receive ₹10 lakhs for ir services.
