Big Blow to Delhi Capitals: DC's slim IPL 2024 playoff hopes could end before SRH vs GT starts

Following a win over Lucknow Super Giants in last league game of ir campaign, Delhi Capitals have given mselves a slim chance of qualifying for IPL 2024 playoffs. However, y are majorly dependent on how SRH would fare in ir remaining two games. Sunrisers Hyderab's one win could eliminate DC from playoffs race. Hence, DC fans would have ir eyes set on Thursday's SRH vs GT encounter. While  Capitals would want SRH to lose match, re is a threat looming which could conclude DC's season even before start of Sunrisers Hyderab vs Gujarat Titans match.

Rain could hamper DC's slim chances of survival

SRH will take on Gujarat Titans at Rajiv Gandhi International Stium in Hyderab.  wear in Hyderab could play spoilsport, as a warning of isolated thunderstorms has been issued. What will happen if rain washes out SRH vs GT IPL 2024 match?

In case  match gets washed out, n both teams will receive a point apiece. One point will take SRH's tally to 15, taking m above CSK and will cement ir place in playoffs. For Delhi Capitals to qualify, SRH would have to lose both ir matches and that too by an excess of almost 100 runs. So, rain would dampen DC's chances and drain m out. Should  rain prevail, SRH would be third team to qualify for playoffs after KKR and RR.  4th spot will be filled by eir CSK or RCB. For CSK to qualify, y just have to register a win over RCB or even if y lose, y have to make sure that loss margin is fewer than 18 runs or in case y are bowling second, y have to refrain RCB from chasing target in 18.1 overs.
