Rishabh Pant may leave Delhi Capitals ahead of IPL 2025 mega auction

After incurring the unfortunate accident in December 2022, Rishabh Pant underwent a long injury layoff and recovered on time for IPL 2024. He made an outstanding comeback, scoring 446 runs in 13 matches in the league. He kept wickets as well, consequently delivering the message that he was ready for the international stage. On the back of IPL's performance, he was included in the T20 World Cup squad as the main wicketkeeper-batsman. In the World Cup, he batted at the No.3 position, partially succeeding in the group games. Pant has received a call-up for the upcoming India vs Sri Lanka T20I and ODI series as well.

Indian cricket fans would be eager to witness Rishabh Pant at the peak of his powers but on the domestic front, Delhi Capitals fans may not cheer on the same testament in IPL. According to reports, Rishabh Pant may leave the franchise that he joined in 2016 when it was Delhi Daredevils and went on to become a captain of it in 2021.
