IPL 2023: Here's how Hardik Pandya led Gujarat Titans may line up against MS Dhoni's CSK

Ahead of the GT vs CSK encounter in the opening match of the IPL 2023 a look at how the Hardik Pandya side will prepare against the MS Dhoni led team.

IPL 2023: Reigning Indian Premier League champions and Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat Titans will take on MS Dhoni's and four-time IPL winners Chennai Super Kings in opening match of world's toughest T20 league. match will be played on March 31, 2023, at Narendra Modi Stium in Ahmedab. 

Both teams look equally balanced but Hardik Pandya-led side might have an edge ahe of first match of IPL as y h defeated Chennai in both matches y played in IPL 2022. However, last season MS Dhoni didn't le team in first phase of tournament and Ravindra Jeja was appointed captain. CSK didn't perform well under Jeja's captaincy and he left job in midseason.

MS Dhoni n took team's captaincy in second phase of tournament but was t able to le his team to playoff st. This season Dhoni will be once again leing side from Match 1 and it will be great to see how Hardik Pandya les his team by playing against captain under whom he me his international debut. 

Gujarat Titans vs Chennai Super Kings: He-to-He Record

Though till w Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings twice as last season was Hardik Pandya's team debut season, it was his team who won both matches against CSK and also might walk as favorites ahe of first IPL match.

first time when both teams took on each or was in 29th match of IPL 2022 when CSK batting first scored 169/5 in which Ruturaj Gaikw top scored 73 whereas Ambati Rayudu and Ravindra Jeja also contributed with kcks of 46 and 22. Chasing target Gujarat looked in trouble but at last David Miller led his team over line and played an unbeaten inning of 94. Rashid Khan also chipped in with his quick innings of 40 runs and guided his team to a three-wicket win. 

second between both teams was a low-scoring encounter as batting first CSK registered a total of 133/5 in 62nd match of India Premier League. Gujarat Titans didn't face any trouble while chasing target and won match by seven wickets.
