Meme Fest Triggers After CSK Want MS Dhoni as an Uncapped Player

Reports have been suggesting that the IPL franchise, Chennai Super Kings, wants to bring back a rule which was dismissed in the year 2021. The BCCI met with IPL Franchise owners to determine the schedule for the 2025 season, and ESPNCricinfo reports that the owners of the Chennai Super Kings pushed for a regulation that was in effect from the tournament's 2008 start until 2021. This rule allows international cricket players to be categorized as uncapped players if they have been retired for more than five years. An entire meme fest has erupted all over the social media platform X (Formerly Twitter).

Given that MS Dhoni retired in August 2020 and the rule was enforced, the Super Kings would have a chance to bolster their roster with the presence of MSD, who can hit big shots.
