MI endured a disastrous IPL 2024 season under the leadership of newly appointed captain Hardik Pandya , who replaced Rohit Sharma for the role. The entire season was engulfed with speculations of a possible rift between Sharma and Pandya, which further spiraled the assertions of the hitman potentially leaving the franchise. However, the report states that nothing of the sort will transpire.

Mumbai Indians To Retain Its Central 

In what could be taken as a welcoming development for Mumbai Indians and its fans, the franchise has opted to retain Rohit Sharma for the IPL 2025. Aside from Rohit, the 5-time winners have zeroed in on Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav , Jasprit Bumrah , Tilak Varma, and Naman Dhir.

Therefore, Mumbai Indians have gone for the big names. However, it is still a report, and the nature of the genuineness will be revealed on October 31, which is the deadline day for all franchises to submit their IPL 2025 retention list.
