LSG Encouraged To Target Arshdeep Singh By Ex-India Star, Believes 'He Will Thrive' In Lucknow

Amid anticipation, a former India cricketer wants franchise to rope in Arshdeep Singh at all costs. He also cited reasons for getting 2024 T20 World Cup sensation.

While speaking about IPL auction picks for Lucknow Super Giants, Robin Uthappa suggested that franchise management should go all in to bring in India star, Arshdeep Singh. He opined that left-arm bowler could thrive in Lucknow tracks since it has a bit of bounce and also a little movement. Uthappa also stated that Arshdeep would thrive in normal conditions, which could be a huge benefit for franchise as y undergo a revamp.

"I would go for Stonis as RTM. I would actually go hard for Arshdeep because it's a venue he will also enjoy bowling in. It's a big venue, so fast bowlers like se venues. It has a little bit of bounce. It has a little bit of movement and sizes are pretty big. He thrives under normal conditions anyway. I think he will thrive here a lot," Robin Uthappa stated.

Robin Uthappa also stated that franchise may opt for Nicholas Pooran as skipper after KL Rahul was let go. But he also pointed out that if team brings in an Australian star, who could fit under he coach Justin Langer's system. He also picked a couple of choices which franchise may select in mega auction.

"I would go back to QDK (Quinton de Kock). That h Kyle Mayers as well. He is a good pick as well. He is a foreign opener. Will Jacks could be a fit here. We saw him taking Rashid Khan to town. Conway plays spin well, so he could do well at Lucknow but I would keep Devon Conway's RTM at CSK (Chennai Super Kings) itself," former India star said.
