Lucknow Super Giants IPL 2025 Retentions: Final List Of Retained Players And Remaining Purse Size

IPL Retentions 2025: Lucknow Super Giants is a franchise which is just three-year old into the cash-rich Indian Premier League ( IPL ). If all the three seasons are to compared, then LSG had more highs than lows. Lucknow Super Giants under mentor Gautam Gambhir finished on the third place in the 2022 and the 2023 season. They were touted as one of the contenders to lift the trophy in both these seasons, but they somehow made the mess of their opportunities.

Here are the list of players retained by Lucknow Super Giants ahead of the mega auction for IPL 2025.

First Retention: Nicholas Pooran - 21 Cr
Second Retention Ravi Bishnoi - 11 Cr
Third Retention: Mayank Yadav - 11 Cr
Fourth Retention: Ayush Badoni - 4 Cr
 

Total Amount Spent: 48 Cr

Remaining Purse: 76 Cr

LSG, under former Australia player and coach Justin Langer did not look as the same side. Their players performed well in intervals, but that was not enough for the team to make it to the playoffs. Nicholas Pooran had an outrageous IPL 2024 for Lucknow Super Giants. One of the positives of their side was Mayank Yadav too who has now ended up playing for India too. LSG  were placed on the seventh spot with 7 wins and as many losses in IPL 2024.
