Munaf Patel Appointed Bowling Coach Of Delhi Capitals Ahead Of IPL 2025

Munaf will work alongside newly-appointed head coach Hemang Badani and DC's director of cricket, Venugopal Rao.

Former India pacer Munaf Patel has been appointed as bowling coach for Delhi Capitals ahe of upcoming Indian Premier League ( IPL ) season. 41-year-old, who retired from professional cricket in 2018, will take on this high-profile coaching role for first time in his career. 

Munaf Patel will work alongside newly-appointed he coach Hemang Bani and DC's director of cricket, Venugopal Rao. Munaf was part of Indian cricket team that won 2011 Cricket World Cup

He will replace James Hopes, who left franchise along with he coach Ricky Ponting post IPL 2024.

Munaf has represented India across formats, having played 86 international matches and taking 125 international wickets.

He was a part of India's World Cup-winning squ in 2011 and also won IPL twice -- Rajasthan Royals (2008) and Mumbai Indians (2013).

DC have retained four players -- Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yav, Tristan Stubbs and Abishek Porel -- for upcoming season.

franchise will have a purse of Rs 73 crore heing into mega auction in Jeddah on November 24 and 25. DC will have option of retaining two more players courtesy of Right To Match (RTM) cards. y could retain a capped and an uncapped player, or two capped players.
