IPL Retentions 2025: The anticipation among IPL fans is at an all time high as in a day's time franchises will confirm the list of players they have decided to retain ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction.
However, a day prior to the retention deadline, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have officially announced the arrival of star English all-rounder to their ranks.

RCB announce signing of star English all-rounder
The Royal Challengers Bengaluru announced the signing of superstar English player Danielle Wyatt Hodge to join their women's team for the upcoming Women's Premier League (WPL) season.
RCB snapped up Wyatt's services from the next edition of WPL by agreeing an all clash trade with UP Warriorz. Danielle Wyatt Hodge joined UP Warriorz ahead of WPL 2024 for 30 Lakhs and RCB have roped in the 33-year old English all-rounder on the same fee.

RCB skipper Smriti Mandhana welcomed the newest member of the squad saying, “Danielle is a game-changer and a phenomenal athlete. We are excited to welcome her to RCB”.

Plenty for RCB to think about in IPL 2025
While, the women's team managed to win the WPL crown for RCB, the IPL crown continues to remain elusive for the ‘Play Bold’ franchise. RCB fell short in the eliminator once again in IPL 2024, hence entering mega auction they aim to rebuild themselves and finally get their IPL crown.

RCB will look towards retaining the likes of Virat Kohli , Cameron Green, Will Jacks, Mohammed Siraj, Yash Dayal among others to keep their core intact.
