AB de Villiers Points Out One Star Players Whom The RCB Can Pick In IPL Auction
While speaking about the IPL 2025 Auction in one of his videos on his YouTube channel, AB de Villiers urged the RCB to make sensible moves. He stated his satisfaction that the franchise retained Virat Kohli and still has a huge purse they could splurge in the upcoming IPL Auction in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. ABD also mentioned a few names whom he wants to see in the team and picked up a unique name that has recently stood out for Team India -- Washington Sundar
"I want the priority to be a world-class spinner. Let's just get Yuzi back. Let's stop messing around. Let's get Yuzi back in RCB where he belongs. He should never have left.
"RCB can also get Ravi Ashwin, I fancy Washi Sundar as well. But with Ravi Ashwin, he has all the experience, you know what you get from him and he can also win you a game with bat in hand. Imagine if we get the twin spins from RR at RCB -- these are guys who know their games in and out. I would be very happy about that. Anyway, Yuzi Chahal is my main priority," AB de Villiers said.

Apart from Yuzvendra Chahal, R Ashwin and Washington Sundar, ABD also named dropped Kagiso Rabada and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. In case they fail to obtain Rabada, the management should make a go-ahead for Mohammed Shami. In case he is also not available, De Villiers wants RCB to go for Arshdeep Singh. He urges the franchise to make the right calls as they need a title now.
For the IPL 2025 Retentions, RCB went on to pick an all-Indian core set-up, including Virat Kohli (₹21 Crore), Rajat Patidar (₹11 Crore) and Yash Dayal (₹5 Crore). They would have three 'Right To Match' Cards and have a chance to go huge in the auction.
