Irfan Pathan reveals Sourav Ganguly's actions before deliberately going late for the toss

While talking on Star Sports' Cricket Connected, Irfan Pathan turned back clock and opened up about an incident when former India captain would take his time in dressing room, even though it was time for toss to take place. Pathan recalled toss incident from his maiden tour of Australia in 2003-04 when Sourav Ganguly me Steve Waugh wait again. former left-arm pacer said that he was in dressing room and he remembers that whenever it was time for toss, Da (Sourav Ganguly) used to look at clock and manr would remind him about same.

He furr said that during Sydney Test, Sachin Tendulkar asked Sourav Ganguly to turn up for toss on time, but former skipper would take his sweet time to put on his shoes, sweater and justed his cap slowly on purpose. He also said that when a person is getting late, pressure becomes visible on his face but Sourav Ganguly would never be in a hurry.

Recently, while speaking with Mayank Agrawal on ‘Da Opens With Mayank’ show online, BCCI President has shared his side of story on recent comments me by Nasser Hussain and Steve Waugh. During show, Sourav Ganguly told Agrawal about how him coming late for toss started out as an accident.
Sourav Ganguly said that during first Test match of 2001-02 series against England at home, he h actually left his blazer in dressing room. BCCI President n went on to reveal how he n purposely started to go late for toss after seeing opposition’s reaction to it. While speaking about toss incident involving Steve Waugh, Sourav Ganguly said that whole toss situation was done in good humour, as he has tremendous respect for his friend Steve Waugh.
