IPL 2025 Mega Auction: There is much speculation over the IPL mega auction - who will be there and who would opt out. The buzz is palpable and that is always expected with the cash-rich league. So, who are the Indian stars who may pull out of the auction. There are a few players who may feel it is time to take a step back and look for a different career option. Here is a list.

Ishant Sharma: The lanky veteran pacer has been a part of the cash-rich league since it's inception, but now at 36, it is about can his body pull through the pressure of another IPL season. Mind you, he is a pacer and not a spinner. This means, his body takes a toll whenever he runs in to bowl. One reckons Ishant may prioritise health over the game at this stage and hence we feel he may pull out of the auction. Also, he realises, not many teams would be interested in hiring him for the upcoming season.

Amit Mishra: The experienced wrist-spinner is also among the top wicket-takers in the history of the league. But, the question is - will he continue for another season? Fitness is a concern with Mishra and also with franchises looking to buy players for more than just one season, it is unlikely Mishra would get picked and that is the reason why he may opt out of the auction and seek a career in commentary.

Karn Sharma: Another IPL veteran who may consider pulling out of the auction. His decision may be influenced by personal reasons as reports suggest. Sharma has not been a big star, but he has on most occasions contributed towards his team's success.
