It only seems like Jasprit Bumrah has been around the Indian camp for the last three years but he has already created such an impact, registering himself as the spearhead of the Indian bowling in the limited over formats of the game. Making his ODI debut in 2016, Jasprit Bumrah was picked up in the Indian team following his performances in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for Mumbai Indians and has constantly improved as a bowler and has gone on to become the number one bowler in ODIs according to the ICC rankings. Jasprit Bumrah took to Twitter to share a set of pictures of himself - one where he receives a Man of the Match award when he was a teenager and one where he wins the Man of the Match award as a cricketer for India. The fiery death-bowler captioned the picture with a quote that adequately represented Jasprit Bumrah's rise in Indian cricket.

Jasprit Bumrah's transformational journey

Jasprit Bumrah first made headlines while playing for Mumbai Indians in the IPL. The franchise played a crucial role in scouting the player after looking at his unique bowling action and speed. Nita Ambani lauded Bumrah's transformational journey and also mentioned that Mumbai Indians have discovered several young talents like Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya and so many more in the last decade. "The transformational journey of a young boy who was discovered by Mumbai Indians (MI) from a small town of India has been exceptional. Today, Jasprit Bumrah is an inspiration to countless young boys and girls. In the last ten years MI has discovered several young talents like Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya and so many more," Nita Ambani said at the Sports Business Summit in London.

Jasprit Bumrah visits UK to seek opinion on injury

"Bumrah is expected to leave on October 6th or 7th and would be there in the UK for about a week. As per the opinion of the three doctors, the next course of action will be decided upon. We have taken appointments from the best in the business when it comes to stress fractures," the official said. Recently, senior speedster Ashish Nehra told PTI that in case of a stress fracture, it is difficult to set a time-frame for comebacks as it "can vary" from player to player. "It might be the case of Jasprit feeling good after just two months and he may not feel good even after six months. It is such an injury where you don't have any medication save proper rest and then an intense rehabilitation programme. Only a player can say when he is match-ready," Nehra had said on Sunday.
