In a big boost, India's death-bowling specialist Jasprit Bumrah might return to action sooner than expected as the pace master has finally started training. Jasprit Bumrah has been out of action since the conclusion of the tour of West Indies with a stress fracture in his lower back. Reports also suggested that Jasprit Burmah had begun light exercises and had started running as preparatory processes to making a comeback for the national side. Taking to Twitter, the right-arm pacer shared a picture of himself with two of his mates after his training session captioning it as 'all smiles'.

The Indian team management has taken a lot of care in managing his workloads but the pacer still ended up suffering a stress fracture in his back.  Last month, he had also the UK with the National Cricket Academy’s chief physiotherapist Ashish Kaushik and consulted specialists to treat the back problem.

All eyes are on Jasprit Bumrah to see if he can race against time and battle to be fit in time for India's tour against New Zealand in December. Bumrah had recently posted a picture of himself working out in the gym with a caption that hinted at his return to the field.

ICC ODI Rankings: Jasprit Bumrah Retain Top Spots In The List 

Indian skipper Virat Kohli and pace master Jasprit Bumrah, despite not having played an ODI since August, have retained their top spots in the ICC ODI Player Rankings. Bumrah continues to lead the way in the latest rankings for bowlers as he holds the spot with 797 rating points with  Trent Boult in the second position with 740 rating points to his name. India will play its next ODI series when they host West Indies in a three-game series in December.
