K Gowtham to represent Kings XI Punjab in the next edition of IPL, details here

K Gowtham has been roped in by Kings XI Punjab for the next edition of the IPL. He had earlier represented Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals in last 3 years.

K Gowtham has been one of the finest spinners in the domestic circuit for quite a while. He was very handy for Rajasthan Royals with both bat as well as the ball. Gowtham has helped RR with the bat lower down the order and when it comes to his bowling abilities, he has been very instrumental for the 2008 winners in that department. After all, he had bamboozled the two world-class batsmen Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers with some lovely piece of bowling not once but twice.  had represented RR for two years in 2018 and 2019 respectively but, the Rajasthan franchise has decided not to retain the all-rounder for the upcoming season.

Gowtham roped in by KXIP

You have heard that right. After Rajasthan Royals had parted ways with Krishnappa Gowtham, he will now be seen in new colors in the next edition of the IPL as he has been roped in by Kings XI Punjab. KXIP have also confirmed the news on their official Twitter handle. The Punjab franchise welcomed the all-rounder by writing that be it with the bat or ball, Krishnappa Gowtham knows how to turn the game in the team's favor. Take a look.

K Gowtham's IPL career

Krishnappa Gowtham's IPL  career began in 2017 when he was brought by the Mumbai Indians for a sum of Rs.2 Crores. Mumbai Indians went on to win their third IPL trophy that year. However, Gowtham was not retained by them in the next season. He was then roped in by Rajasthan Royals for the 2018 edition where he had made some important contributions with both the bat as well as with the ball. In fact, he had played a vital role in RR reaching the playoffs. The Ajinkya Rahane-led side had finished fourth in that season.
