Kapil Dev-led CAC makes error in its Team India coach selection report card, gets called out

Ravi Shastri was on Friday was reappointed as the Head Coach of Team India for the period from September 2019 till the end of the T20 World Cup to be played in India in 2021.

Ravi Shastri was on Friday was reappointed as the Head Coach of Team India for the period from September 2019 till the end of the T20 World Cup to be played in India in 2021. 

The  CAC interviewed five candidates and evaluated them on the basis of the following parameters:
1)     Coaching philosophy
2)     Experience of coaching
3)     Coaching achievements
4)     Communication
5)     Knowledge of modern coaching tools

The five candidates were provided rating points out of 100 and the CAC further shortlisted three candidates in order of priority, which is as follows:

1)     Ravi Shastri
2)     Mike Hesson
3)     Tom Moody

A big mistake by the CAC

However, there was a mistake on the part of CAC as they had got the spelling of Mike Hesson's name wrong, writing Hassen instead of Hesson. The error was spotted by Cricket fans and they had no hesitation in giving it back to the Kapil Dev-led committee.
