Former England opening batsman Michael Carberry recently slammed the England team management for their treatment towards him post the 2013-14 Ashes series.

Former England opening batsman Michael Carberry recently criticised England team manment. While cricketer played all five Test matches of 2013-14 Ashes series, he represented England in only one ODI reafter. Even though England lost 2013-14 Ashes in Australia by a 5-0 margin, Michael Carberry was one of better performers for touring party. He scored 281 runs across five matches to end up as England’s second-highest run-scorer in series behind Kevin Pietersen (294 runs).

Michael Carberry slams England manment for treatment after Ashes 2013-14 disaster

Michael Carberry recently spoke on Broken Trophy Podcast. In show, left-handed batsman said “re is a right way and a wrong way to deal with people” and described his treatment by England team manment after 2013-14 Ashes as “abysmal”. He claimed that it was t just his doing that England lost Ashes and cited his performance as one of better ones for n Alastair Cook-led side.

Michael Carberry n spoke about his absence from ODI series that followed, which England lost 4-1. In spite of being second-highest run-scorer in Tests and performing well against Prime Minister’s XI, left-handed batsman said that he was t considered for playing XI in ODIs. He recalled asking to n limited-overs coach Ashley Giles about his future, something to which he got reply. Michael Carberry n criticised Andy Flower (He Coach in Tests) as well as Ashley Giles by saying England coaches at time worried about ir own careers inste of “doing ir job as a coach”.

Michael Carberry on Kevin Pietersen’s axing

In an interview with  Guardian after tour, he also questioned Kevin Pietersen’s axing from squ as 2013-14 Ashes turned out to be last set of Test matches in both ir careers. Michael Carberry said that both he and Kevin Pietersen were “slinging mud” with England team manment, claiming it to be reason behind ir axing. Carberry and Pietersen played toger for Hampshire in past and former's support for his famous 'senior' back n, seems to have turned against him.
