Kidambi Srikanth has congratulated Sourav Ganguly on social media after his appointment as the BCCI President. Dada assumed charge as the 39th BCCI President.

Kidambi Srikanth is one of India's finest bminton players in both singles as well as doubles competition. Srikanth is one of potential talents to have come out of Gopichand Bminton Acemy in Hyderab which was founded by iconic shuttler Pullela Gopichand. or star players to have come out of that acemy included Olympians Saina Nehwal and PV Sindhu. Srikanth was also conferred with Pma Shri award in 2018. Meanwhile, Kidambi Srikanth has come forward to congratulate Sourav Ganguly on social media.

Sourav Ganguly dismisses need for dual captaincy
newly-elected BCCI President did away with question of dual captaincy for India and backed current skipper Virat Kohli to be able to carry on with job effectively. Responding to a reporter's query, Sourav Ganguly said question of replacing Virat Kohli as skipper does t arise as India has been in fine form and has h a winning run. Split captaincy has been vocated by many former cricketers and Indian fans, who believe that Rohit Sharma will be able to le side in shorter formats of game while Virat Kohli could le Test side. However, in sync with selectors and coach, Sourav Ganguly has also agreed that Virat Kohli is best man for job and that need for split captaincy is t required at moment.
