Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni and Sachin Tendulkar are three of the biggest names in Indian and international cricket. These three cricketers define three different generations and have been at the forefront of many memorable victories for Team India. Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni were also the part of India's 2011 ODI winning World Cup squad. A lot of Indian youngster look up to Sachin, Virat and Dhoni as their cricketing inspirations.

Venkatesh Iyer Chooses MS Dhoni Over Virat Kohli And Sachin Tendulkar

Venkatesh Iyer, the stylish Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batter had a phenomenal IPL. There were serious questions about his form heading into the seventeenth season of the Indian Premier League, but he answered his critics by playing a few crucial innings for the Kolkata-based franchise and which helped his team win the IPL title for the third time.

Iyer, who is playing for Lancashire took the famous 'This or That' challenge. Iyer was asked to choose his favourite player from the plethora of options consisting of Phil Salt, Quinton De Kock, AB de Villiers, MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar. The swashbuckling KKR batter chose MS Dhoni as his favourite player. Though Iyer persisted with Salt for a very long time, but it was MS Dhoni he finally chose.

Venkatesh Iyer: Team India's Forgotten All-Rounder

Shreyas Iyer rose to fame with his explosive power-hitting in the second phase of IPL 2022. Courtesy of Iyer, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) also made it to the finals of that edition but eventually lost to Chennai Super Kings. This performance earned him a maiden India call up, but Iyer couldn't keep his place in the team intact.

Iyer has played just 9 T20I matches for Team India and has scored 133 runs at an average of 33.25. Iyer has also taken five T20I wickets from as many matches. As far as his IPL numbers go, Iyer has played 50 matches for the Kolkata Knight Riders and has scored 1326 runs at an average of 31.57 and with a strike rate of 137.13.
