IND vs NZ Second Test: After losing the first test against New Zealand, India are looking to make a comeback in the ongoing second test against New Zealand to prevent the Kiwis from winning the series and falter India's chances of going into the WTC final. India have not lost a test match series at home since 2012 when India had lost a home series against England. New Zealand faltered in their batting on the third day and crumbled for a score of 255, leaving India a target of 359 and two days to bat.

New Zealand Set Target Of 359 As India Look To Make Comeback In Second Test

Spinners inflicted quick blows as India bowled out New Zealand for 255 in their second innings on the third day of the second Test here on Saturday.

But New Zealand built a lead of 358 runs, and the victory target of 359 is quite challenging on a crumbling Pune pitch.

Resuming at 198 for five, the Kiwis lost their remaining five wickets for 57 runs in an hour into the first session itself.

Off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin (2/97) and left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja (3/72) shared the spoils.

Brief scores: New Zealand: 259 all out and 255 all out in 69.4 overs (Tom Latham 86, Glennn Phillips 48, Tom Blundell 41) vs India: 156 all out.

India Looking To Avoid Upset After 144 Months

India have not lost a series at home since 2012 when they lost to England. Since then India have managed to win or draw all of their series at home but are on the cusp of a massive upset looking at the current scenario in the match. In the three match series, New Zealand won the first test and are on the front foot in the second test.
