During an appearance on ICC Review, Former India cricketer Ravi Shastri predicted that Team India would be in pain following historic series loss to New Zealand, which put an end to ir 12-year and 18-series home winning streak. He cited importance of starting a series in a 'good state of mind', which he coach Gautam Gambhir needs to make sure of.

"India will be smarting from that defeat in that series against New Zealand because y were caught unawares. y were a little complacent and y paid price for it. But having said that, it's a very proud team, this Indian team. y would be hurting and y'd like to get back on track.
" best way to bounce back from such a series is start off anor series in a good manner, so first two Test matches become extremely crucial going ahe. most important thing will be to ensure that y start off well; y keep players in a good state of mind. That will be most important thing for coach," Ravi Shastri said.

Put what happened behind you. se are different conditions and some of tracks in Australia when you get in are probably best to bat. I think it will be totally different, conditions when y get out re," Shastri ded.
