'This Guy Can Seriously Play': Tim Paine Enthralled By India Star After Brilliant Showcase vs AUS A

Tim Paine Impressed With India Star's Intent & Resilience Ahe Of BGT Tests
While speaking to Australian rio station SEN, former Australia skipper Tim Paine heaped laurels over Team India wicketkeeper-batter Dhruv Jurel. Paine pointed out how resilient Jurel was for India A when y faced off against Australia A in ufficial tests. He believes that Jurel could be an asset to India side. former skipper believes he could emerge as a specialist batter in BGT for his composed innings of 80 and 68 for IND A.
"I don't kw if you saw much of highlights, but after seeing him bat (against Australia A) - even though he's a wicket-keeper, from what I've seen on this tour and from India's batting in last couple of months, I'd be staggered if he doesn't play. He scored one of more polished 80s I've seen, and we were all sitting around as staff of Cricket Australia and thought, 'Wow, this guy can seriously play'," Paine told as quoted by ICC.

Paine also pointed out that Dhruv Jurel will step up for challenge in fast tracks of Perth, where India will face off against Pat Cummins-led side at BGT. He ded that wicketkeeper-batter will be well suited to fast conditions of Australia.

"He's 23 and he's played three Test matches, but he looked a class above all of his teammates, to be fair, and handled pace and bounce really well, which can be unusual for an Indian player.
"Keep an eye out for him this summer. I think he's going to impress a lot of Australian fans. Even though it's going to be ar step up against big three (Cummins, Starc and Hazlewood), he looks like he has game to play Test cricket," former right-hand batter said.
