Mashrafe Mortaza asks 'Am I a thief?' ahead of last match as Bangladesh ODI captain
BAN vs ZIM live streaming: Ahead of the ODI series against Zimbabwe, Mashrafe Mortaza was asked by a journalist whether he was 'ashamed' of his bowling.

Zimbabwe cricket team are currently on a tour to Banglesh to play a one-off Test, three ODIs and two T20I matches. Banglesh all-rounder and ODI captain Mashrafe Mortaza, who did t feature in any international fixture since 2019 Cricket World Cup, returned for ODI series against visiting Zimbabwe team. However, Mashrafe Mortaza recently anunced that ODIs against Zimbabwe will be his last as national ODI captain.

During pre-series press conference, Mashrafe Mortaza was asked by a journalist wher he was ‘ashamed’ of his performance in 2019 World Cup. right-arm pacer could man only 8 wickets in England and Bangleshi team failed to qualify for semi-final. Quite understandably, question did t sit well with Banglesh skipper, who later lashed out at journalist. Mashrafe Mortaza responded with “Am I a thief?” and ded that re are people who cheat and steal while implying y are ones who should be ashamed.

Mashrafe Mortaza also said that he is playing for Banglesh and t for any or country, which is why he does t have anything to be ashamed of. He concluded by saying that if he is t performing well eugh, he will be dropped accordingly by selectors. Meanwhile, Mashrafe Mortaza led Banglesh to victory in first two ODIs upon his return in international cricket. He will w play third BAN vs ZIM live match on March 6, which would also be his last as ODI captain.
