The magical run for Mayank Agarwal continues as the Karnataka lad notched up his second Test double century with a magnificent six against Bangladesh on Friday at Indore. The fiery opener breached the double ton mark in 303 balls, laced with 25 boundaries and five sixes at a strike rate of 65.77. BCCI posted an informal interview with Mayank Agarwal which was taken by skipper Virat Kohli. This was Agarwal's second Test double ton in two consecutive series. Speaking about the same, Agarwal said:
"Tremendous feeling to get a double hundred. It's a good feeling that I can come out there and bat well for the team and putting a team in a good position. As an opener, if you get the good condition, you got to make good use of it."

Virat then asked the Karnataka lad to emphasise on the mindset that drives the young batsmen to score runs. Highlighting the importance of respecting the game, Agarwal said:

"All of us have been through times where we haven't gotten runs, struggling to get those 15-20 runs. So I keep reminding myself that there have been times when you haven't gotten any runs so respect that, respect the game and respect the time that you are getting runs. It's not going to happen every time that you go out there and get double hundreds. So you make sure that you put the team in such a position that they cannot lose from there."

'You set the standards right up there'
Virat, who is known to be a fitness fanatic asked Mayank about the role of fitness and the young guy then said that Kohli has set the standards high in terms of fitness and added, "if you are not physically fit, you are going to be found wanting".
"Fitness plays a very important role. You can't lose out on an innings because you are physically tired. That's not acceptable. So fitness plays a very very important role. You know you (Virat) have set the standards right up there, it's not easy and the way this Indian team is playing, the intensity at which we are playing is really high level. So if you are not physically fit and then you are going to be found wanting."

Concluding the interview, the skipper hailed Agarwal stating that Mayank hasn't come into the team wanting to grab his opportunity but he has come into the team wanting to make the team win and that's why he is in this position, averaging more than 60 already.
