Michael Vaughan backs Graeme Smith, says 'he is exactly what SA cricket needs'

Michael Vaughan has backed Graeme Smith after the former South African skipper backed out from the post of Cricket South Africa (CSA) Cricket Director

Micheal Vaughan was one of best captains in history of English cricket history. He had led England to finals of ICC Champions Trophy 2004 and an Ashes triumph in 2005 against Ricky Ponting's mighty Australia. Even though his tweets do t go down well with people and he gets trolled for his comments, this time, he has come out in support of a fine cricketer and someone against whom Vaughan has played a lot of cricket as well. He is former South African captain Graeme Smith.

Michael Vaughan backs Graeme Smith

Graeme Smith had expressed his desire for role of CSA (Cricket South Africa) Director of Cricket but w, he has withdrawn his interest for role. Smith took to social media and shared a te where he had mentioned that he is backing out from role. Meanwhile, Micheal Vaughan took to micro-blogging site and wrote it was a shame that Cricket South Africa (CSA) could t Graeme Smith a black canvas to get on with role. Graeme Smith withdraws his interest 

Taking to micro-blogging site, Graeme Smith wrote that following news in media this week that he had interviewed for CSA Director of Cricket role, he felt it necessary to confirm that he has unfortunately withdrawn his interest for role. Smith also mentioned that he would have loved to take up role n revealed what made him back out. He wrote that he has t developed necessary confidence that he would be given level of freedom and support to initiate  required changes.  former captain also added that his passion for nation's cricketing fortunes remains steadfast before expressing his heartfelt best wishes to whomsoever taking up role. Smith concluded by saying that he will continue to support teams and give his advice and guidance whenever he can.
