Michael Vaughan criticises Australia for postponing SA tour, poses a tough question

Former English skipper Michael Vaughan has criticised the Australian team for postponing the three-match away Test series against South Africa

Former England skipper Michael Vaughan has questioned Australia's decision to postpone South Africa tour and called it a 'huge worry' for game.

Proteas were all set to host Aussies in a three-match Test series in March. However, Cricket Australia (CA) on Tuesday decided to postpone series due to an 'unacceptable' coronavirus risk. Australian board h said that travelling from Australia to South Africa at this current time would have h an unacceptable level of health and safety risk to visiting players.

'A huge worry for game': Michael Vaughan 

Taking to micro-blogging site, Vaughan mentioned that  Aussies pulling out of tour of SA is a huge worry for game and n wondered wher y would have considered pulling out of a tour to India as well.

Australia tour of South Africa postponed

In an official statement released by Cricket Australia, governing body confirmed postponement of ir three-match Test tour to 'Rainbow Nation'. statement mentioned that travelling from Australia to South Africa in current situation was an unacceptable level of health and safety risk to ir players, support staff, and community. South Africa has seen a rise in COVID-19 cases, including a second wave and emergence of a new strain of virus. 

statement also ackwledged significant amount of work by CSA in planning for tour and revealed that Cricket Australia were prepared to take on ditional cost and effort to make series happen. release also mentioned that board was extremely disappointed to have arrived at decision, especially given importance of continuing international cricket at this time, our valued relationship with Cricket South Africa (CSA).

Australia's World Test Championship final hopes in jeopardy
