Pakistan vs England: The dropping of former Pakistan captain Babar Azam from the Test side has drawn stunning reactions. While fans have been reacting strongly, former England cricketers Nasser Hussain and Michael Vaughan have also opined on the subject. Both the former cricketers are stunned after the new selection committee of Pakistan made this decision public ahead of the second Test. Claiming that England would not mind this call taken by the Pakistan selectors, Hussain was confident Babar will surely find a way to score runs.

‘Guys like him generally find a way of scoring runs’

"As for Pakistan , with their new selection panel, leaving out Babar Azam , I think England won't mind. He's a bit out of nick at the moment, but guys like him generally find a way of scoring runs when the pressure's on. If I were in England's shoes, I'd be pretty relaxed about turning up on Tuesday and finding a Pakistan team without their star batsman," Hussain wrote in his column on Daily Mail.

“So Pakistan haven’t won in a while… Go 1 nil down in the series and decide to drop the best player in @babarazam258. I guess Pakistan cricket is full of surprises, but this tops the lot.. absolutely stupid decision.. unless he has asked for a break !!!” Vaughan tweeted.

“Taking into consideration the current form and fitness of key players and looking ahead to Pakistan ’s future assignments in the 2024-25 international cricket season, the selectors have decided to give rest to Babar Azam , Naseem Shah, Sarfaraz Ahmed, and Shaheen Shah Afridi. Abrar Ahmed (who is recovering from dengue fever) was unavailable for selection.”
