All-rounder Mitchell Marsh abused the on-field umpire in the heat of the moment during the BBL clash between Sydney Sixers & Perth Scorchers on Saturday

Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh did t shy away from expressing his disappointment after he was wrongly given out during Big Bash League (BBL) clash between Perth Scorchers and Sydney Sixers at Manuka Oval on Saturday.

incident happened during 13th over of first innings that was bowled by Steve O 'Keefe. On penultimate delivery of that over, spinner h bowled one on ps as Marsh looked to work ball down leg-side. But, he ended up missing ball which went straight into gloves of stumper Josh Phillipe as he and Sixers appealed for caught behind.

on-field umpire raised his finger instantly. However, middle-order batsman was very anyed with decision and was seen showing his anger while he was still at batting crease. Things did t end re as he abused umpire in heat of moment while taking a long walk back to dugout. Replays showed that ball h in way me contact with bat and re was also a huge gap between bat and p.

Sydney Sixers register a convincing win

Perth Scorchers skipper Ashton Turner won toss and elected to bat first. However, ir innings never found momentum as y ended up losing wickets at regular intervals. In end, an unbeaten 41-ball 69 from wicket-keeper batsman Josh Inglis helped Scorchers post a respectable total of 167/6 from ir 20 overs.

In reply, reigning BBL champions me things look easy without breaking a sweat as openers Josh Phillipe and James Vince ded 98 runs for opening stand and that too inside nine overs. re was looking back for title-holders from re on as Vince (98*) and number three batsman Daniel Hughes (21*) ded an unbeaten 70-run stand for second wicket as Sixers crossed finish line by nine wickets and three overs to spare.
