“He will be joining Indian team after elaide (second) Test. Now that he is back, proved his fitness, picked up wickets, he will be crucial for team in second half of tour,” coach Bruddin said.

Mohammed Bruddin ded that Shami h initially targeted New Zealand Test series for comeback, but he intended to only return after becoming 100% fit for bowling action. He also revealed that after Shami received clearance from NCA, he went back to his farmhouse, put his fitness to test and used a tritional tactic to convince himself that he was good to go.

“He runs barefeet in mud. That’s his technique to test his fitness. That’s amount of hard work Shami puts in,” he said.

While Mohamm Shami me his domestic comeback with a bang after scalping a four-fer, it is yet to be seen wher he can make his national team comeback in upcoming test series.
