Mohammed Siraj is now the new No.1 ODI bowler in the world in latest ICC rankings

ICC Rankings: Mohammed Siraj's fiery spell against Sri Lanka in the Asia cup final helped him top atop the ICC Men’s ODI Bowling Rankings. Siraj tore apart the Sri Lankan batting as his bowling spell read 6/21 in the Asia Cup summit clash. Siraj was restored to the top as he leapfrogged Australia's Josh Hazlewood in the rankings.

Mohammed Siraj tops ICC ODI bowling rankings

Siraj finished the Asia Cup as the second highest wicket-taker with 10 scalps to his name. Siraj has accumulated 694 rating points followed by Josh Hazlewood and New Zealand's Trent Boult in the next two spots.

Afghanistan spinners make significant gains in ICC ODI bowling rankings

Afghanistan spin duo Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Rashid Khan conquered the fourth and fifth positions while Mitchell Starc, Matt Henry, Adam Zampa, Kuldeep Yadav and Shaheen Shah Afridi completed the top ten.

Apart from Siraj, Kuldeep is the only other Indian bowler to feature on this list. With the Men in Blue scheduled to play a 3 match ODI series, there are likely to be further ups and downs in the ICC rankings.
