MS Dhoni to turn commentator for historic Kolkata Day-Night Test?

MS Dhoni, who is on a sabbatical, could be seen donning the commentator's hat during the historic day-night Test between India and Bangladesh in Kolkata.

Former India captain MS Dhoni, who is on a sabbatical after conclusion of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 in July, could be seen donning commentator's hat during historic Day-Night Test between India and Bangladesh in Kolkata. According to a report in a leading Indian media daily, official broadcaster of match is keen to bring Dhoni on board for historic Day-Night Test. In a plan proposed to BCCI President Sourav Ganguly, all former captains of Indian cricket team are set to be invited for first two days of pink-ball Test and will be asked to share ir favourite moments from India's glorious Test history.

Dhoni to commentate in historic test?

As per report,  plan that was sent on email reads - “Invite India Test captains for Day 1 and 2 of Test. All captains at ground along with (Virat) Kohli and rest of team as well as dignitaries line up for anm. Captains appear on commentary as guests through day to recollect ir favourite moments from India’s Test history. Down memory lane segments recorded with individual captains are played on big screen at ground in breaks Day 4 onwards.”

If former captain accepts invite that has supposedly been sent, it will be first time that Dhoni will be seen donning commentator's hat.

And that's t it, as broadcasters are planning to make first pink-ball Test a grand spectacle by celebrating one of India's greatest Test wins at Eden Gardens against Australia in 2001 at Lunch on day 3.

"V.V.S. Laxman, Sourav Ganguly, Harbhajan Singh, Anil Kumble (?) and Rahul Dravid (?) re-live Test match (2001). Segments aired on big screen." question that still looms is about availability of Kumble & Dravid as '?' in front of ir names suggest y might have t made ir availability kwn.

"Free entry to watch India practice on Friday (B & L block). Live cover of practice session on Star. Crowd interaction with legends. Crowd interactions with select India players (at end of session)," mail reads furr. broadcasters intend to telecast training session of Indian team with pink ball on eve of game. This will be first time in history of Indian cricket that a training session will be telecasted.

two-match Test series between India and Bangladesh will commence on vember 14 in Indore. second Test will start on vember 22 in Kolkata.
