MS Dhoni wins thriller for CSK with last-ball six vs KXIP in IPL 2010; watch video

MS Dhoni carried the Chennai Super Kings into the semi-final of IPL 2010. CSK defeated DC in the semi-final and MI in the final to lift their first IPL trophy.

Over course of IPL, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have enjoyed continued success as y have been one of most consistent sides in tournament. Super Kings have made playoffs in every IPL that y have played till w and have gone on to win tournament three times. IPL 2010: MS Dhoni kcks it out of park, carries Chennai into semi-final

Chennai Super Kings had looked promising but had only won six games in ir 13 matches and needed to win ir final game against Kings XI to qualify for playoffs. Coming to scenic Dharmasala, Kings XI asked Super Kings to chase 193 in ir 20 overs. Kings XI bowled well and mand to bring equation down to 16 runs needed in final over.

Irfan Pathan had ball while CSK captain MS Dhoni remained on strike. In a situation where nerves could get best of him, Dhoni gave Chennai one of its most memorable victories as team won match and ended up qualifying for playoffs in third place. MS Dhoni's Chennai Super Kings went on to face Adam Gilchrist's Deccan Chargers in semi-final where Super Kings mand to defeat Chargers despite setting a low target. y defeated Mumbai Indians in final and won first of ir three IPL trophies. CSK defeated RCB in 2011 and SRH in 2018 to win ir remaining trophies.

IPL 2020 postponed: What will be fate of IPL and MS Dhoni retirement

BCCI had IPL 2020 postponed amidst rising concerns regarding spread of coronavirus in March. tournament was supposed to begin on March 29 but new schedule of tournament remains a mystery. MS Dhoni is captain of CSK team 2020 and many experts believe that Dhoni's performance in IPL 2020 will dictate his inclusion in T20 World Cup, later this year.
