According to head coach Donovan Miller, Malik’s adaptability and leadership skills will come in handy as the tournament progresses further. He pointed out that the Pakistani superstar will play an important role for his side in the upcoming edition. 37-year-old Shoaib Malik is currently the fourth-highest run-getter in the shortest format of the game. With 9018 runs across 357 T20 matches, the right-handed batsman is only behind West Indies’ Chris Gayle, Kieron Pollard and New Zealand’s swashbuckling batsman Brendon McCullum.
