Muhammad Mudassar set to become tallest ever spinner in PSL history
Muhammad Mudassar will join the Lahore Qalandars squad for the upcoming PSL. With his debut, he will become the tallest ever spinner to play in the tournament.

The sixth edition of Pakistan Super League will begin next year from February 20 onwards and unlike previous editions, the upcoming season will be the first in tournament’s history to be held entirely in Pakistan. The month-long event will feature six teams, including reigning champions Quetta Gladiators. The final match will be played on March 22.

Muhammad Mudassar set to become PSL’s tallest spinner ever
Standing at 7 feet 4 inches, spin bowler Muhammad Mudassar will be making his PSL debut next year, representing Lahore Qalandars. When he steps onto the field to play his first game of the tournament, Mudassar will become the tallest spinner ever to play in the Pakistan-based T20 league. He will be joining former Pakistan captain Salman Butt in the squad, whom the Qalandars retained in the ongoing players draft.

Mudassar hails from Lahore and the spinner recently joined the Qalandars' player development program. When asked about his height, Mudassar said that it is more important that he focusses to fulfill his wish of representing the Pakistan men's senior cricket team at the international level.

Lahore Qalandars had a disappointing outing in the previous season, winning just three out of their 10 matches. They stood at the last position on the points table and were knocked out in the round-robin stage for the fourth consecutive season. For the 2020 edition, the franchise boasts of a quality mix of local and international T20 talent. Cricketers like Martin Guptill, James Neesham, Jason Roy, Ross Taylor, Tamim Iqbal are some of their overseas players who will be turning up in the next season.
