Mumbai Indians pacer Rasikh Salam faces a two-year ban by BCCI for age fraud
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) ruled a ban on Jammu and Kashmir medium-pacer Rasikh Salam of two years for submitting a bogus birth certificate to the Indian cricket board.

On Wednesday, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) ruled a ban on Jammu and Kashmir medium-pacer Rasikh Salam of two years for submitting a bogus birth certificate to Indian cricket board.
Earlier this year Salam created a buzz when he me his debut for Indian Premier League franchise, Mumbai Indians. Salam impressed all with his ability of pace bowling at 17. He was seen as a welcome sign and considered as a budding talent. While he bagged only one game but he showed great potential.

board in a release anunced that Salam will be withdrawn from India U-19 squ that will contest in a tri-series in England starting July 21. Prabhat Maurya will join squ in place of Salam.
Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education informed Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) that Salam doctored his . board h me it clear to JKCA that Rasikh provided to cricket association didn't match that of board's record (as registered during his Class 10 examination).

A former JKCA member conveyed his displeasure about such things happening in presence of ministrators in association. member believes that in spite of having two ministrators such an episode occurring is indeed s. Such episodes should be prevented by board as y also hamper with chance of deserving young players getting an opportunity to play.
