In the wake of the unrest in Bangladesh, there have been much speculation over who will eventually host the upcoming Women's T20 World Cup which was scheduled to take place in September. A fresh report on Cricbuzz confirms that the tournament would take place in the United Arab Emirates. The tournament is set to start from September 27. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) believes they can still go about hosting it. The BCB has asked the International Cricket Council (ICC) for a five-day extension from the ICC to provide a concrete plan. Amid all this, there were also talks that India is being contemplated as an alternative option. But then, the Sectretary of the Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) has categorically rubbished such claims.
