Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma has cast a cloud of uncertainty over his participation in upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia, citing personal reasons. first Test is scheduled to take place in Perth on vember 22.

In a stunning revelation, Rohit Sharma admitted that he is unsure if he will be able to join team in Australia, saying "t sure wher I will be going, fingers crossed." This bombshell comes on heels of India's disappointing 0-3 loss to New Zealand at home.

If Rohit Sharma is unable to participate, vice-captain Jasprit Bumrah will lead team in series opener, with Abhimanyu Easwaran likely to be his cover as an opener. Border-Gavaskar Trophy has taken on added significance, as both teams are vying to reach final of World Test Championship (WTC) once again. Australia defeated India in final of previous cycle of World Test Championship held in England.

India whitewashed in a Test series for first time in 91 years
As far as Test series against New Zealand is concerned, India lost contest 3-0. This is first time India have been whitewashed in a home Test series of three or more games.

"Something like this will be a very low point of my career and I take full responsibility for it," Rohit Sharma said at post-match press conference.
"Yes absolutely (bitter pill to swallow). Losing a series, a Test match, is never easy... something that is t easily digestible. We didn't play our best cricket. New Zealand played better throughout series. re were a lot of mistakes we did," Rohit said at post-match presentation ceremony.

" first two Tests we did t put eugh runs in first innings. This game we got 30 runs (28) lead and target was chaseable.

"We failed as a unit. When you are chasing a target like that, you want runs on board. That was in my mind and it did t come of. When it does t come off it does t look great," he added.
